Eurasienstab was one of the aktions at the infamous Wide White Space Gallery, performed by Beuys on the 9th of February 1968. With a text by Antje von Graevenitz on the Eurasienstab by Joseph Beuys and a text by Henning Christiansen with the music score reproduced. The reproductions in the book are photographs of stills from the film made of Bueys performing after he had already performed Eurasienstab once in full. He had already performed the work once before in 1967 at galerie Nächts St. Stephan. A third version of Eurasienstab was shown at Wide White Space Gallery in 1973 where it had morphed into a sculpture. The twenty minute film on which this book was based was also shown in 1973.
